I forgot to mention that I went to mass on my first day here. I got myself an unofficial tour guide that walked around with me. His name was Jose´ and he took me to a cathedral and we sat through mass. His fee was 2 beers that he got from a store like a 7-11 but it was called XOXO (I´m not sure how to pronounce that).
Yesterday I took a bus south to a fishing village called Boca de Tomatlan. I basically sat at a restaurant at the beach and read and swam all day. It was really nice. The restaurant had umbrellas and chairs right next to the water. I got coconut juice. It was served in a huge coconut a little smaller than a basketball. I think there was more than one half gallon of juice in it. I also had a couple of beers and some guacamole.
Last night I went out to a bar with a girl that I met who is also traveling alone. It was a bar with a loud band that played all american music and didn´t seem to have any mexican people in it. I stayed for about a half hour and then got out of there.
Today I´m going to take a 3 hour bus ride to a fishing village called San Blas. They have boat tours that specialize in bird watching. I just had breakfast at a taco stand that had the best fish tacos ever. Now I have to run and get my bus. I´m not sure if there is internet in San Blas. I´m going to probably stay for 2 nights and then get a bus to Guadalajara from there. I will probably be staying at the hotel there that I read about in the Lonely Planet. I forget the name but they nursed a pelican back to health and it apparently runs the place.
